The Bissell 1200B SpotBot looks a little bit like a turtle -- because
it's green and it sort of has a tail. But that's mostly where the
similarities end -- as, unlike a turtle, SpotBot is made to get
rid of old, new, large, small, and even oldish-newish-kinda-large-but-sorta-small
carpet stains.
In 400 cleaning revolutions, the "Unique Spiral Brushing action"
(as the advertisement so daringly puts it) can literally clean anything
off your carpet -- wine, cola, juice, coffee, pet stains, baby stains,
monkey stains and more -- it's a housekeeper and serial killer's
dream machine.
The SpotBot uses two modes -- hands-free and manual. Hands-free
mode requires you to fill the machine with water and cleaning fluid,
select type of stain, and then -- and this is the hard part -- you
leave it alone. Within an advertised 7 minutes, the stain is gone
and the cops don't have a trace. Manual mode is used for the tougher,
bigger stains and uses a "Tough Stain Brush" (because
every component of this machine must sound like a trailer to an
action film) to engage in deadly battle with the offending spot.
The SpotBot really works, too. It's cute, it's toylike, and it's very efficient. Sure, a bit on the pricey side, but it really ends up paying for yourself -- especially if you have children or pets. And for anyone who's ever rented an apartment who's floor is forever stained with animal urine, this quite possibly might be the closest thing to God they'll ever get to see.
As you can see, the SpotBot has spotted the offending stain -- a cute little pink child. What do you do with it? You reach for the Spotbot, you push the button -- and it's botted -- the child is captured. And now you've Got it -- like some sort of Pokemon, little Mary has been captured. Collect them all!
